United Nations, Jun 24 (Prensa Latina) UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon today condemned the terrorist attack against ten foreign hikers in Gilgit-Baltista region, Northern Pakistan.
Ban is deeply dismayed for the attacks and bombings in that Asian nation which have taken the lives of dozens of civilians in the last few weekends, said UN official spokesman office in a communique.
The official note also reiterated the UN support to the Pakistani government in its fight against terrorism and demanded immediate measures against the responsible for the attack.
The Taliban movement in Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack, carried out in revenge for the death of one of its leaders by a U.S. unmanned aircraft (drone) last month.
